Originally developed as part of the USAAF’s first pilot layering system, the 1943 C2 Sweater was designed to be worn beneath the A2 leather flight jacket, offering warmth without bulk. Its functional, close-fitting cut and raglan sleeve design provided maximum mobility in the cockpit, essential for pilots operating in demanding conditions.

This faithful reproduction is made from 100% Merino wool, prized for its natural insulation, breathability, and comfort. The Talon zipper, single front pocket, and authentic Spec label remain true to the original wartime design, while the deep black tone gives this historic garment a contemporary edge.
