D3O Ghost Level 2 Armour

The best just got better!

D3O's fit and forget ultra thin Ghost armour is now available as a CE EN1621 Level 2 certified armour.

What does that mean? Basically the difference between the standard Level 1 limb armour and Level 2 is a reduction in the amount of transmitted force allowed from the impact energy. For Level 1 limb protectors,  testing of transmitted force through the armour pad has to be 35kN, or less, with Level 2, this drops to 20kN!

Meaning Level 2 protectors offer greater protection from the forces of impact energy, making your key limbs less likely to be affected from the effects of impact in accidents.

Incidentally, statistically the greatest number of injuries from an accident, come from the effects of impact, not the slide.. Not that either are any better or worse, we want to protect from all injuries!

D3O invented the non newtonian material that has enabled them to develop soft, comfortable and now near invisible armour pads. It is THE armour of choice.

The Ghost Level 2 armour pads are physically the same length, and width, as their sister Level 1 model, where they do differ is in thickness. The Level 2 pads are double the thickness, but this is still only 10mm! This also tapers off in thickness towards the edges, leaving a natural curve over the surface.
